Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them. – Romans 4: 7-8

Yep, that’s right folks, Christianity is as good as a Get Out Of Jail card.

Go out, commit whatever sin you want on Saturday, go to church on Sunday and confess it, and your good to go for another week.

Committed some sins your whole life (like the former guy) and as long as you have a priest or pastor at your deathbed to forgive you, you’ll get to heaven.

It might be why Christians are over-represented in our jail population and atheists are under-represented. Christians love to claim they are the moral majority, but in reality, many Christians have the worst morals immaginable, and I think it stems from their belief that ultimately, all of their sins can be forgiven and that’s that, clean slate.
