King of Ferndale
Christians long for authority. You’ll hear the right talk about freedom when it comes to guns, but they’re more than happy to dictate what women can do with their bodies, what books you can read, what you can teach children in school, who you can marry, and countless other rights that are far more important than owning an AK-47.
What they lust after, and is a huge factor in their adoration of the former guy, is someone who will have the authority to rule the lives of those they hate.
It doesn’t matter that the former guy is going to trial next week for having sex with a porn star, and then paying her off to keep it quiet so it wouldn’t affect his election. It doesn’t matter that he has 90 other felony charges pending. It doesn’t matter that he’s currently running a stock market scam that is bilking his followers out of their life savings.
They idolize the former guy as if he were a king. Because they feel like he is one of them, they trust that he will have their interests at heart.
What a load of bullshit!
Why would anyone want a king? America was founded on “Let’s not have a fucking king anymore”.
It is arrogant as hell to proclaim from your church sign that your zombie hero is the king of the town. There are Jews that live in Ferndale. There are Muslims that live in Ferndale. There might be a few Buddhists, Hindus, and Sikhs as well. I know there are way more agnostics and atheists in Ferndale than Tyrel Bramwell would like to admit.
Ferndale is a secular entity. Or at least it should be according to the Constitution of the United States. There is no place in the United States, nor in Ferndale for kings.
Kings, like the bible, are an archaic entity. They thrive in romantic tales of the past, but have no place in our present and in our future.
Beware of anyone who preaches to have their authority determine what your freedoms are. America is falling towards a facist state, and just because a dictator sounds good to you today, once you loose your freedom, it’s a long struggle to ever get it back.
