Love Must Be Sincere
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.– Romans 12:9
Tyrell Bramwell is of the opinion that sincere love can only be between a man and a woman, and anything else is evil. That is of course entirely incorrect.
I’ve known many gay couples and even if they weren’t legally married, I found their love to be much truer than many married heterosexual couples I know. Every gay couple I know of has shown way more love in their relationship than Donald Trump has shown to his third wife, or either of his two previous wives, all of whom he has cheated on.
Bramwell, if he was a true Christian, would follow the example that Jesus set, and love all. He would recognize that it is possible for two men, or two women to love each other just as much as a man and a woman can.
However Bramwell dwells not in love, but in hate, because that’s what fires up his congregation. He is far more comfortable hating people who are different from him, while proclaiming that he in fact is the one who is being discriminated against.
Ever the victim, he is so blinded by his upbringing that he has no clue how wrong his beliefs really are, and how much damage he is inflicting in Ferndale.
Have you ever heard of a church having the letters for their sign stolen? How much hate do you have to be spewing that someone would steal the letters off a church sign? That should be a major sign for Bramwell, but I’m confident he’ll ignore the message that was being sent. After all, he’s just the victim.
