Humble?
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.– Psalms 25:9
Tyrell Bramwell is not humble. Mr. Bramwell has convinced himself that he knows what is right, and damn it, you do it his way, or you’re a demon.
If he were humble, Mr. Bramwell might take a moment to consider that his opinion means little to many residents of Ferndale. If he wants to live his life not being gay, that’s entirely his right. However, he does not have the right to condemn others, calling them demons or worse, simply because they are different than he.
If he were humble, he’d follow the instructions in the Bible that warn you shouldn’t judge people as that is for God alone.
If he were humble, he’d pray in private, as the Bible instructs, instead of using his very public sign to promote his divisive messages.
Maybe he should really pay attention to his good book:
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-5
